KAS Media Africa is thrilled to unveil an exciting new approach to storytelling - one that brings the challenges of journalism, media integrity, and digital ethics into the vibrant world of comic books.
This graphic novel follows Afi, a passionate journalist navigating a complex media landscape shaped by corporate power, misinformation, and emerging AI technologies. Set in a near-futuristic African city, the story mirrors real-world struggles faced by journalists today, highlighting the importance of ethical reporting, press freedom, and accountability.
We will be launching this comic book on the 19th of March in Johannesburg, where we will meet the creative team, engage in a panel discussion, and share knowledge around the role of storytelling in shaping public discourse.
