This comparative study written by Khaled Mejri attempts to determine the level of legislation relating to the issue of asylum in five countries of the Arab region (Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Egypt), in view of the international commitments ratified by these countries, the provisions enshrined in their constitutions and legislation and the institutions established by these countries to activate all those requirements. The study aims to determine the level of progress of the legal system of each country in this field and to identify shortcomings and possible areas for reform.
