Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change Asia-Pacific (RECAP) of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is a political foundation active throughout Germany and abroad. With the Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change Asia-Pacific (RECAP), the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung responds to the growing regional and global importance of access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and clean energy in a world of a dramatically changing climate. Climate change and energy security are among the biggest challenges for many Asian countries in the coming decades.
We accompany these developments constructively amongst others by establishing and strengthening networks of decision makers in Asia-Pacific, building platforms for exchange, participation in scientific discourses and the development of best practice. We strengthen the awareness of the necessity of sustainable energy and climate policies and support the exchange with German and European partners. We provide periodical background information, analysis of recent developments in the region and results of our project works. Along with other KAS regional and country programmes, we are part of a global network.
