Kabake, a luo word which literally means to “to gather and dialogue” is a community radio programme run by Mega FM Gulu. We started supporting the programme in 2002 at the height of the LRA insurgency in Northern Uganda. This makes Kabake the longest supported media programme in Uganda. Through community dialogues and town hall meetings, Northern Ugandans gather to share their perspectives and reflect on key governance and development questions in their localities.
