Seminar
Details
At the end of June Sweden’s presidency of the Council of the EU will end and Spain’s will begin. Together with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung – Nordic Countries (KAS), SIEPS will host a discussion on what Sweden has achieved during its presidency, how the current state of international affairs affects the daily work of the EU, and expectations of the upcoming Spanish presidency. The seminar will be held at Hotel At Six on 23 May, from 12:00-13.00.
Maintaining the cohesion of the European Union in its response to Russia’s war in Ukraine has been a key priority for the Swedish presidency. At the same time, work on the Green Deal and the migration pact has proceeded during the spring. During the seminar, discussions will revolve around the Swedish presidency’s priorities and the Spanish priorities for the coming six months, as well as how the latter might be affected by what Sweden has managed to achieve. To consider these questions, SIEPS and KAS have gathered a panel of EU experts from Spain and Sweden.
Registration for the seminar will open shortly.
