The Complicated Relationship: A Snapshot of the U.S.-Mexico Border
von
James Cooper
The United States-Mexico border is a place of exchange: people, capital, technology, services, goods (both illegal and illegal), and even human and plant diseases. With each year, the border changes in complexity and composition. For decades, the north of Mexico, with Tijuana as its emblem, has been a place for United States (U.S.) Servicemen and other U.S. tourists go to enjoy “rest and relaxation”, with cheap drinks and adult entertainment. It is a place where U.S. teenagers travel to consume alcohol, taking advantage of laxer regulations of minimum ages for drinking.
