Der gebürtige Bonner Politikwissenschaftler war zuvor für die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Regionalbüro Westfalen in Dortmund aktiv und leitet das PBF-Saarland, bis die langjährige Leiterin und Landesbeauftragte, Frau Bossung-Wagner, ihre Aufgaben wieder wahrnehmen kann.
