Forum
Details
The forum’s main focus concerns itself with the current issue of the transition of power in North Korea following the untimely death of Kim Jong Il. Is there a chance for a new, peaceful approach to the Korean peninsula? Which strategies towards foreign and security policies can we expect from the ‘Great Successor’, and the militaristic Kim-led dictatorship in Pyongyang? What role plays the parliamentary and presidential elections in South Korea regarding the policy towards North Korea? Can our Korean partners learn from the difficult but successful example of the German reunification?
