Details

The surprising announcement of US President Obama to resume diplomatic relations with Cuba has led to an increased interest in Europe and Germany. Most public discussions focus on a more active (economic) cooperation with the Cuban regime. Meanwhile, the press continues to be censored and the human rights situation remains untouched. Given these developments, what can an active opening look like? The conference focuses on the discussion of the challenges and possible outcomes associated with an opening towards the Cuban regime.

Simultaneous translation into English and Spanish will be provided.
