Zarife Gagica
Advisor to the Executive Office
Zarife Gagica has been a consultant in the Foundation's Executive Board Office since December 1, 2024. Previously, she worked for four and a half years as a consultant for East Central Europe in the Europe/North America department. From July 2019 to June 2020, she worked as a research assistant and project coordinator in the KAS Rule of Law Program Southeast Europe, based in Bucharest.
Before joining the KAS, Zarife Gagica worked from 2008 to 2019 as a consultant in the offices of members of the German Bundestag and was responsible for various specialist areas and parliamentary committees.
Zarife Gagica studied linguistics, literature and political science at the University of Konstanz, the Free University of Berlin and Nipissing University in North Bay, Canada.
In addition to her professional activities, Ms. Gagica is active in civil society. She is the founder of several organizations that promote democracy, youth development and the prevention of extremism.
