The New Silk Roads and North Africa: What are the synergies?

In this study, Mehdi Taje provides an assessment of the Chinese "Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)", its contours, the current state of play, as well as economic, geopolitical and cultural motivations behind the initiative. As first study of its kind, the publication at hand sheds light on potentials and risks of the initiative for North African countries and discusses their positioning towards the BRI.
