We are pleased to announce the publication of the report from our recent workshop "Water Politics in the Euphrates-Tigris Basin: Regional Scenario Workshop on Cooperation Among Riparian States." This workshop brought together 20 experts from regional and international organizations to focus on the Euphrates-Tigris Basin. The goal was to foster regional cooperation and develop forward-looking scenarios and policy options for managing shared water resources.
The report presents the outcomes of scenario planning sessions, where experts discussed the current water situation, regional relations, and negotiation strategies among riparian states. The result is a set of scenarios and policy recommendations designed to promote sustainable water management and enhance regional cooperation in the Euphrates-Tigris Basin up to 2040.
We invite you to explore this report, which provides insights and policy options aimed at addressing the challenges faced by riparian states. The report aims to be a resource for policymakers, researchers, and anyone interested in the geopolitics of transboundary water management.
