KAS Philippines is proud to be an institutional partner in this significant initiative, particularly in supporting the participation of delegates from East and Southeast Asia, as well as Australia, and hosting key side events, including "Beyond the Superpower: Regional Approaches to Maritime Security Burden Sharing" – conducted under Chatham House Rules.
Held from November 6-8, 2024, The Manila Dialogue brought together leading foreign policy experts, thought leaders, and academics from across Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific. Delegates debated issues, pitched innovative ideas, and offered recommendations to ensure that the rule of law, not coercion and the use of force, prevails in resolving disputes, thus, safeguarding regional peace and stability.
This report summarizes the discussions and presents the recommendations generated, which reflect the views expressed during the dialogue, as interpreted by the lead convenors. Please note, this is not a consensus document.
