The Evolution of Civil-Military Relations in Pakistan 2014-2015
The Pakistani military uses the legitimacy crisis of the government to expand its influence on the public and the country's economy. The failure to solve the current crisis and the inability of civilian law enforcement agencies to enforce law and order increasingly weaken the position of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.
