Social media is the main information source for a lot of people nowadays. At the same time, it is also used for disinformation. This erodes trust in politics, governments as well as in national and international institutions. We have seen attempts for interference in the US and the UK democratic processes and similar attacks are expected for the upcoming elections in Germany and France. Given these circumstances, disinformation becomes a growing concern for the future of international security.
To address the question of how to deal with social media, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Baltic States and the Eastern Europe Studies Centre invite you to a discussion. The discussion "The Virus of Disinformation – How to Deal with Social Media" will take place via Zoom on Thursday, June 17 2021 at 13:00 Vilnius time (12:00 Berlin).
Sign up here to join the discussion via Zoom. The discussion will also be recorded and livestreamed on Facebook.
