Discussion

Western Balkans and the EU

Next steps…?

The declaration issued after the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Sofia in May states clearly that “the EU reaffirms its unequivocal support for the European perspective of the Western Balkans”.

However, many open questions remain: What does such a European perspective entail? How can the EU engage in a fair relationship with its partners in the Western Balkan? And in what way can religious communities support the overall integration process?

On Thursday, the 14th of July, the European Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the EU (COMECE) would like to answer these questions in a panel discussion together with speakers from the region, starting at 12h at the COMECE’s premises.
