Specialist conference
Details
The European Japan Advanced Research Network (EJARN) and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), are pleased to invite the interested audience to our joint conference.
This is the last part of a project which started in 2011 to analyze and evaluate obstacles and potentials for European-Japanese cooperation in such areas as post-conflict reconstruction, stabilization and development of conflict-affected countries. The project’s aim has been to facilitate dialogues between European and Japanese stakeholders by organizing series of conferences in Berlin, Tokyo, and now in Brussels.
Last year, at the top-level meeting between EU and Japan the decision was taken to start negotiating on a binding political agreement between the two sides. In this conference we aim to assess what has been done, particularly in the field of security and development ahead of the forthcoming EU-Japan summit.
We would like to present and discuss policy recommendations with European and Japanese political decision-makers, representatives of EU-institutions, scholars, NGOs and the interested public in general.
