Obstacles and Chances

The next multiannual financial framework (MFF) will be marked by the departure of the United Kingdom, one of the largest net contributors to the EU budget, and by increased demands in the domains of security policy and migration.

Considering this, what is the role of the communes in the next MFF? Will the increased efforts in other areas be to the detriment of the EU’s regional and cohesion policy? To address these questions, the European Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the German Association of Towns and Municipalities (DStGB) are organising a parliamentary breakfast on 27 February, 2018, at 8.00h. As our speakers we welcome Dr. Inge Gräßle (MEP) and representatives of the German communes.
