Workshop
Details
With the proposals, the Commission will have to strike a balance between the need to increase expenditure in the areas of foreign, security and migration policy and to make cuts in other relevant areas such as the cohesion and agricultural policies. On May 16, 2018, the European Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) are organising a high-level workshop to gather first reactions to the Commission’s proposals, comparing them to the position of the European Parliament and that of Member States. As panellists, we will welcome Jan Olbrycht (Member of BUDG Committee and MFF Co-Rapporteur, European Parliament), Michael Hager (Head of Cabinet of Günther Oettinger, Commissioner for Budget & Human Resources, European Commission) and Ralph Müller (Head of the Fiscal Affairs Department, Permanent Representation of Germany to the European Union).
