Do the current political debates reflect what citizens expect from the EU and the member states? Whatway forward should the Union take? In 2021, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung decided to contribute to the debates with a survey in twelve EU member states, with a focus on the centre-right society.
Under the title "Perspectives on the EU from the center of European societies" we wanted to know if and where civil respondents in different EU member states share common perspectives and values that underpin European integration. Are there common conservative values and perspectives in the EU member states beyond political debates and discourses? And what do these differences and similarities mean for European politics, both at national and EU level?
On 17 March 2022 we will present the results of the study that the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung conducted together with the Egmont Institute and ifok. Afterwards, top-class guests will discuss the consequences of the opinions and wishes of centre-right Europeans.
