Details
CASS is the most important academic institution in China pursuing research activities in philosophy and social science. The results of their research function also as a political advice how to further proceed in reforming China. Therefore it is one of the most important Think Tanks of the whole country being closely linked to the State Council. The cooperation with the different institutes of CASS is a significant instrument of the foundation's work in a pre-political area.
There are consultations with leading representatives of CASS on a regular basis; this time Dr. Stefan Friedrich, Head of Team Asia and the Pacific, European and International Cooperation, Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation, Berlin, and Thomas Awe, Head of KAS-Office/Beijing, discussed with Dr. Wang Lei, Vice-Director of the Bureau for International Cooperation, and Miss Zhang Lihua, Director of the European department of the Bureau of International Cooperation, the cornerstones of cooperation in 2012.
