Mutual Perceptions of Asia, Europe and China in a Changing Global Environment

The publication Asia in the Eyes of Europe - Images of a Rising Giant is launched during a series of workshops in Paris, Brussels, Berlin in June and in Shanghai in July to highlight the findings of the “Asia in the Eyes of Europe” research project. During the workshop in Shanghai scholars from China and Europe will analyse the outcomes of the 18 month long study of media and public perceptions of Asia in eight EU member countries and of a mirror study examining how the EU is perceived in ten countries across Asia, shining further light on the current state of Asia-EU relations in this era of economic uncertainty and shifting global power.
