5th meeting of the Expert Council for Prior Consultation

This year, the event will take place in two cities: Lima, capital city of Peru, and Tarapoto, capital of the region of San Martín.

The Expert Council for Prior Consultation (CECP) plays an important role in the Program PPI of the KAS. This council makes it possible for the program to rely on the intercultural knowledge of experts, which significantly contributes to the definition of our strategic priorities and objectives. Hence, it is demonstrated that the effects of climate change and their solutions have a great impact on the indigenous population and their rights. This provides the basis for the organization of this event by the program EKLA-KAS.
