The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation supports the realization of the third international conference on adaptation to climate change, organized by the Brazilian institute Earth System Science Center of the National Institute for Space Studies (CCST-INPE) and the Programme of Research on Climate Change Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation (PROVIA).
Due to the great success of two anterior conferences, 2010 in Australia and 2012 in the USA, a third conference will be launched in Brazil in order to further strengthen the political and scientific exchange on climate change.
The conference provides a great opportunity for scientists, climate change experts and political decision makers from developed as well as developing countries to exchange knowledge about challenges and opportunities of climate change and to give action strategies on the local, national and international level.
The focal point of the conference will be effects of climate change and adaptation strategies. Therefore, research approaches, methods and results will be presented by different scientists.
