The topic of the first seminar, held in Salta, Argentina was "Water as a scarce and necessary resource: challenges for its sustainable use".
Two International Seminars of the Series "Atacama-Lipez" will be held later this year. The next one is planned for San Pedro de Atacama, in Chile, on the 21st and 22nd of August on the new challenges of local policies for sustainable human development. The event will be attended by prominent political actors and experts from different countries, who will discuss the interrelationship between water resources and productive models for the development of the Atacama region.
