The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), through its Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change in Latin America (EKLA) held on Wednesday, May 4th, its first year of operation in the Lima office. The welcome words were given by Dr. Christian Hübner, Director of KAS EKLA Programme. Moreover, this opportunity also served to introduce the new Director of KAS Peru, Dr. Bernadette Kalz. Immediately after, Mr. Eduardo Durand López-Hurtado, General Director of Climate Change, Desertification and Water Resources of the Ministry of Environment, took the floor to share the results of the last Forum of Ministers of Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean.
The opening section ended with a toast of honor, thanking the participants for their attendance and inviting them to a light brunch. Representatives of partners and close institutions of the Foundation and the Programme, such as: Mr. Jörg Ranau (Ambassador of Germany in Peru), Mr. Jaime Cabrera (Ministry of Environment of Peru) and representatives of Libélula, Gobernabilidad Perú, Universidad del Pacífico, A2G Climate Partners, INICAM, DAR, KFW, GIZ, KAS Peru, among others, were present.
