Vietnam is one of the five countries most affected by the effects of climate change. Heavy tropical storms, sea-level rise and changes in precipitation and average temperatures are already putting Vietnam in serious socio-economic difficulties. What are the consequences of this development for the government and the party, and what impulses will they have on the Vietnamese response to climate change-related issues?
