The extent of climate change and the extent of its impacts are uncertain. Severe droughts, irregular rain patterns, floods, rising sea levels, higher temperatures, but, counterintuitively, more intense blizzards in parts of the globe, are some of its effects that can already be felt. The impacts (many of them unpredictable) that result from these changes will be decisive for the survival of humanity on Earth. The certainty we have is that, in any case, we need to adapt to this new scenario as soon as possible.
The book "Climate Changes: Everything you wanted and didn't want to know", by Sergio Margulis, brings in a simplified and direct way the answers that science already has on the main issues of climate change and proposes urgency and unity for its confrontation. Presenting several initiatives already underway, the economist warns: "The deadline for us to act in relation to the climate is almost over. [...] The decision on what to do is clear, what we lack is precisely the decision making." .
