Furthermore, the delegation of the Youth of the Economic Council of the CDU had the opportunity to exchange opinions with Greek entrepreneurs and Michaela Bali, representative of GTAI in Athens.

The Greece office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung took part in the conference of the Youth of the European People's Party and its Greek member ONNED in Athens from the 4th to the 6th December. The conference was attended by 120 young leaders from 40 countries and was mainly concentrated on how to connect two sectors that should head for closer cooperation in order to create synergies: The world of youth start-ups and the world of youth politics.

During the conference issues such as direct funding and loans for start-ups from the European investment Bank as well as reduced taxation and simplified tax systems and accounting requirements for start-ups were discussed. In addition, the presidents of the 60 member organisations of YEPP voted on a white paper regarding start-ups, which will be presented to Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker in January 2015.

On the occasion of the YEPP conference, KAS Greece hosted a delegation of the Youth of the Economic Council of the CDU, which exchanged opinions with representatives of Greek businesses and institutions on start-ups and the current economic and political situation in Greece.
