India is known as a home of many cultures and religions. In an age of increasing conflict between religious groups all over the world, are the Indian principles of tolerance and unity in diversity relevant for other multicultural societies? This booklet, based on a series of dialogues in different parts of the subcontinent, addresses itself to the relations between Hindus and Christians, a majority community and a small, but significant minority. Can a model of peaceful pluralism be derived? The contributors think yes, as long as the wish for togetherness is stronger than feelings of separateness. The dialogues werde initiated and conducted by the Rashtriya Jagriti Sansthan (RJS) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS).
