The KAS India office and the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) are organizing a workshop on November 28th in New Delhi to discuss with student leaders current issues and challenges of student politics in India.

The workshops objective is to identify to what extent the contemporary political condition has an impact on the voting behavior of the students while voting in the student union elections, how factors like party affiliation, candidate, caste and gender are influencing the vote choice and how political parties influence student politics. Elected student leaders from various universities like Allahabad University, Hyderabad Central University, Panjab University, Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Kerala University, and Rajasthan University will participate in the proposed dialogue cutting across party lines and gender.
