Details
The Discussion is aimed at giving an insight into the detailed findings of the CSDS National Election Study 2009 (NES’09). The preliminary findings of this study have already been released in the form of a special supplement “How India Voted” by The Hindu, 26 May 2009. NES’09 is a social scientific study of political behaviour, opinion and attitudes of the electorate in India, based on a post-poll survey of over 34,000 respondents across the country. Beginning in 1967, The National Election Study series has been headquartered at the CSDS for well over three decades.
