India, with its Anglo-Saxon legal tradition, is a functioning state of law. But in the past few years, given the stagnant economic growth and in particular after the positive economic impulses of the new government, claims for a reform of the system have been raised. The system should be designed more effectively and restrict the 10-15 years´ long procedures, as it inhibits foreign investments and the development of growth-promoting economic culture.
