The dialogues focused on the German dual education system as well as the importance of SMEs as the backbone of the society. During discussions with Chambers of Industry and Trade such as Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), as well as with MPs and political representatives, the mutual understanding was deepened and new possible synergies could be located. To exploit the whole potential of the Indo-German relations, it is important to redefine the economic and judicial framework between the two countries during a dialogue, in order to create possibilities for a better utilization of the complementary economic relations, such as mutual infrastructural projects. Both sides agreed that the timing for a deepening of the mutual economic relations, especially for an extension of the foreign business and FDIs, is perfect. The dual education system as well as German as a foreign language in India would prepare the ground. Another key issue of the dialogue and conference program was the foreign and security political cooperation between both countries. The pull-out of the international troops in Afghanistan and the propagation of the Islamic state in the Mid-East are common challenges, which only can be solved in a dialogue. During discussions with foreign and security experts as well as representatives of the civic society it was highlighted that India and Germany are having the same strategy for the civic reconstruction through infrastructure, education and development cooperation. The foundation and goal of the Indo-German dialogue is a responsible role of both countries in the context of global challenges like terrorism, energy security and sustainable development.
