The aim of the preparatory meeting was to discuss the ongoing regulatory framework of the Indian Government, possibilities of joint activities of two or more members of the JSDP partner network, past track record of activities and to decide the topic of the meeting for 34. Joint Staff Development Programme, in which directors – Mr. C.M. Krishna (PHD), Mr. D. Tandon (CREATE), Gp. Capt. Vijayakumar (MMA), Mr. Uday Shankar Singh (VYK), Mr. Swapan Mullick (SPJS), Mrs. Shilpa Mirashi (IIYW), Ms. Mandaben Parekh (YVT), Mr. Lokesha (IYD) participated.
The opening remarks were given by MR. CM Krishna and subsequently they were welcomed by Mr. Pankaj Madan. Further he spoke about sad demise of Dr. Schmidt. He said that today we not only pay homage, but also celebrate his life. He got a befitting funeral, where not only German Member of Parliament came, but also from India. He requested everyone to rise to observe silence in his memory. Later everyone shared their pleasant experiences with Dr. Schmidt. Afterwards Mr. Madan asked the individual organisations to give a small overview on their activities.
For the 34th JSDP it was agreed that JSDP topic would be “Staying ahead and staying Relevant-Role of NGO”, which could have opening session on governance aspect and the rest to be three TOT workshops focused on Rural Entrepreneurship, Digitalisation and E-Commerce for the staff members of JSDP. By end of four weeks, suggestion from partners regarding subthemes, resource persons & such other implementation/suggestion should be out to PHDCCI as the coordinating & organizing partner of JSDP 2017.
