Workshop
Details
Youth can often find themselves marginalized from politics despite making up a very large part of the population, especially in Jordan. Studies have shown that young people who participate politically in their community early on are going to become more engaged citizens and voters, and are likely bring fresh ideas and new leadership to the political process. Many issues specific to the young population may go unheard if the realm of politics is not open to them and therefore young leaders need the opportunity to participate in political processes and contribute to discussions and decision-making. Thus, KAS Jordan Office, in partnership with Al Quds Center for Political Studies, organizes a workshop taking place on the 7th and 8th July in Amman with the aim of strengthening the position of youth in political parties and increasing their participation in the public and political fields. The workshop will focus on strengthening the participants’ abilities to formulate their own skills in the internal democracy of political parties and to enhance the role of youth and women and their access to leadership positions.
