Background:

KAS Horizon is a training program, which equips its participants with relevant social, communicative and technical skills to contribute to fruitful and constructive dialogue between Europe and Asia in the long-term. This program is designed to provide insights into the potential future working environment of IR and political science students, going beyond what participants can experience throughout their studies. By providing exclusive access to policy-makers, IR experts, diplomats and other practitioners, participants will extend their knowledge and deepen their understanding of international relations and diplomacy. Furthermore, the students will learn practical hands-on skills by conducting their own research project, simulation games and event projects. The training sessions will mostly fall on weekend.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be undergraduate students at least in their third year of studies, fresh graduates, young professionals, in International Relations, Social Sciences or relevant fields, under 25 years old
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Have high English proficiency in listening, writing and speaking
  • Have a strong interest in international affairs and socio-political engagement
  • Be committed to all training

  • Why do you want to be a part of the program?
  • Why should we choose you or what makes you the best candidate?
  • What are your expectations toward the program?

Shorlisted applicants will be invited to the interview in mid-January 2021.

All applicants will receive an email regarding their applications' status by early February 2021.
