On the occasion of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), the Konrad Adenauer Foundation presents a policy brief titled: Renewable Energy just to meet the standards. The brief is written by Visar Prebreza, renowned journalist from Kosovo who covers the topics related with Energy and Economy.
The current state of the environment in Kosovo, especially in the outskirts of Pristina leaves much to be desired. Old power plants and vehicles have made the capital area to be among the most polluted in the region. Along these lines, we shall see in the paper what the vision of the Government is to give priority to investments in renewable energy. Increasing renewable energy production would help to reduce the need for energy produced from the burning of lignite.
