“Campaigning by promoting the political program of the party"

A seminar organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and the Eduardo Frei Foundation (EFF) on September 21st and 22nd, 2024

On Saturday, January 21st, 2024, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and the Eduardo Frei Foundation (EFF) organized a training event in Prishtina for the Women's Forum and the Youth Forum of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). During the event, each forum was presented with separate programs, which were conducted simultaneously.

The Women's Forum seminar began with opening remarks and an overview of the seminar structure which was presented by the Chairwoman of the LDK Women's Forum, Jehona Lushaku. Following the opening speech, the seminar was officially launched by Daniëlle Koster, a trainer from the Eduardo Frei Foundation (EFF). She delivered a lecture on the topic of education and concluded with a workshop, allowing participants to apply the theoretical knowledge presented and receive immediate feedback. She also talked about the importance of developing your political views on education based on your own values. After this, Arjen Siegmann, a trainer from EFF who traveled from the Netherlands to conduct the seminar, spoke about the economy and how to drive economic reforms based on personal political beliefs.

At the same time, the LDK Youth Forum began its day with opening remarks and a presentation by Granit Tërnava, Program Manager at KAS, and Paris Guri, Chairman of the Youth Forum of LDK. Following this, Arjen Siegmann led a lecture and workshop on the economy, focusing on topics especially relevant to the youth of Kosovo.

Following this, Daniëlle Koster gave a lecture on education, explaining how the youth forum members could shape their political views based on the party program.

In the end of the day, both forums came together for a plenary session to discuss the day's topics.

 

On Sunday, September 22nd, the second and final day of the seminar commenced. Similar to the previous day, the Women’s Forum and the Youth Forum of LDK participated in separate lectures and activities.

The Women’s Forum opened with remarks from Premtina Rakovica, Program Manager at KAS. Following the introduction, Fitim Mulolli, a consultant and public communication expert, delivered a lecture on the overarching theme of communication. During this session, he provided insights and guidelines on how to define positions and classify different audiences, along with what it truly means to be strategic in communication. Additionally, Mulolli prepared the Women’s Forum for upcoming political debates with a workshop focused on public speaking.

The Youth Forum of LDK began their Sunday seminar with a lecture and workshop conducted by Valon Canhasi, an expert in digital marketing and social media strategies, and the founder of shkolla.Ai. Appropriately, his lecture centered on the role of Artificial Intelligence in political campaigns and how it can be effectively utilized. He also offered insights on how young people can harness AI to enhance their political engagement.

In conclusion, the seminar organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and the Eduardo Frei Foundation (EFF) on September 21st and 22nd, 2024, provided valuable insights and training for both the Women's Forum and the Youth Forum of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Through a series of lectures and workshops, participants gained knowledge on key topics such as education, economic reforms, communication strategies and the use of Artificial Intelligence in political campaigns.
