The role of investigative reporting in Africa and the relationship that African audiences have with social networks were among the topics Alaka, Makunga and KAS Media Africa director, Christoph Plate, spoke about at the Institute of Journalism at Columbia University in Manhattan.
The dominating topic was the Russian war against Ukraine and its implications for journalism. Despite this focus, African media made its impact with strong contributions highlighting the importance of quality journalism on the continent.
