The Directorate of Legal Services which is responsible for the legal drafting of bills, cleaning of bills, and handling of litigations among others in the National Assembly will be trained on the best practices of legal services to the legislature through enrichment of structure and content of bills in accordance with laid down standards. Other themes in the capacity building workshop will include bills scrutiny and analysis; the concept of citizenship and the related rights; mediation and alternative dispute resolutions, an emerging task that the National Assembly is being faced with in the recent past among others. The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to democracy, rule of law and good governance in Nigeria.
