Details
As the arm of the civil service saddled with the responsibility to manage emergencies, it is pertinent that the staff are trained in the general work ethics of the civil service as well as in the financial regulations and in public procurement to be able to function optimally in their tasks.
To achieve this, KAS will be inviting seasoned stakeholders and resource persons to train the management and staff of the agency by offering them opinions and recommendations on ways to improve. Amongst topics to be presented are: Work Ethics and Values in the Public Service; Comparative Analysis of Emergency Management Policies: Recommendations for FEMA; Understanding and Distinguishing Onsite and Off-site Emergency Preparedness Plan; Public Procurement and Prospects; Strategic Communication in the Management of Emergencies; Financial Regulations in the Public Service: The Banana Peels; Overlapping Mandate among Security Agencies: Understanding the Establishing Acts; and Dynamics of Reforms in the Public Service.
The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to democracy, rule of law and good governance in Nigeria.
