This conflict-management seminar is designed as a training of about 100 middle cadre officers of the Nigeria military forces who are enrolled in the college and other selected officers from other paramilitary security agencies on conflict management and resolution skills necessary for their future engagements in and outside the country.
At this year’s conflict management seminar, KAS shall be introducing the theme of interagency cooperation, with presentations on the concept, politics of interagency cooperation and its symbiotic relationship with conflict management and resolution, and its relevance in the relationship between and among the officers of the security agencies in Nigeria.
Topics such as the roles of the governmental and non-governmental organizations in the management of internally displaced persons, with emphasis on the North-East on the one hand, and introduction to conflict management and resolution on the other hand shall form the bedrock of this workshop.
