PUBLIC POLICY DIALOGUE ON THE POLICE ACT (AMENDMENT) BILL

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), in collaboration with the House Committee on Monitoring and Implementation of the Legislative Agenda and the National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) is organizing a Public Policy Dialogue on the Police Act (Amendment) Bill 2021. This Bill is as a result of the findings from the KAS National Security Overlapping Mandates Survey.
The objective of the public policy dialogue is to produce a final legislation that considers the recommendations and feedback from respective stakeholders. During the dialogue, the bill will be presented to security agencies. Participants at the public policy dialogue will include the Minister of Police Affairs, Inspector General of Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Department of Operation, Training and Development Chairman of the House Committee on Police Affairs. This public policy dialogue is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to Security Sector Reform in Nigeria and is funded by the Federal Republic of Germany.
