Training for Special Advisors and Technical Assistants of the Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Promoting Democratic and Good Governance

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning (MFBNP) is organizing in continuation of a 2020 programme a series of training workshops for Special Advisors and Technical Assistants of the Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to strengthen good governance and improve public sector performance.

Details

While implementing the new long term National Development Plan across all sectors and promoting good governance, the civil service with the special inputs from the Special Advisors and Technical Assistants needs further capacity building to successfully follow-up on the plan and bring it to a logical and successful conclusion to enhance overall public sector performance.

Among topics to be covered at this workshop is Work Ethics and Values in the Public Service – Lessons for Ministerial Aides; Social Cohesion, Public Policy, and Economic Growth: Implications for a Country in Democratic Transition; Leveraging the Media for Strategic Communication of Public Policies and Achievements: Tips and Techniques; Financial Regulations in the Public Service and Possible Pitfalls; Dynamics of Reforms in the Public Service Managing Fraud and Corruption in the Workplace; and Effective Policy Writing and Authoring.

The workshop is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support towards sustaining democracy, governance and the rule of law in Nigeria.
