​​​​​​​The objective of the workshop is to review a harmonized training manual for all security agencies in Nigeria. The workshop aims at developing a harmonized training guide on key issues that relate to civil-military relations. The training modules aim at promoting democracy, rule of law, human rights and interagency collaboration, cooperation as well as coordination. Participating Agencies/Institutions include heads of training at the Defence Headquarters, Department for State Services, National Intelligence Agency, National Security Adviser, Ministry of Defence, Air Force, Army, Navy, Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration, Nigeria Police Force, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. The others are, the Commandants, Provosts and Coordinators of training/curriculum development from the Army War College, National Defence College, National Institute for Security Studies, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Training College. This Workshop is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria and it is funded by the Federal Republic of Germany.
