The event will take place on 27 September at the Big Amphitheatre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs starting at 12:00 hour.
The event marks the opening ceremony of the so-called Regional School security 2024, an initiative which we are traditionally implementing in the past years. It aims to foster exchange and friendship between the countries in the region bringing together students and young professionals, as well as academics and experts from the neighboring countries, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Serbia, in order to discuss and exchange experience on topics which are or common interest, tackling mainly regional security challenges and regional cooperation.
The event will we welcomed by the Official representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Daniel Braun, the representative from the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies Gavin Synnott and the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje Prof. Oliver Bakreski.
Following speakers will give their contribution to the topic:
Marija Petrushevska, Member of Parliament; Member of the Committee for Defence and Security;
Pavle Trajanov, National Coordinator for the prevention of violent extremism and the fight against terrorism of the Republic of North Macedonia;
Dr. Ana Krstinovska, Head of the ESTIMA Think-Tank;
Prof. Nenad Markovic, Professor at the Faculty of Political Science at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje.
The event will be moderated by Prof. Marjan Gjurovski from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, who will also give his introduction to the topic.
Working languages of the event will be Macedonian and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
