Climate change and global warming is a serious threat to all humanity. The mitigation of climate change and global warming requires fundamental changes in the energy sector and transformation from a fossil-fuel based economy to a low-carbon economy. The European Commission adopted the 2050 Roadmap Energy Strategy, which envisages almost complete de-carbonization of the energy sector by 2050. The energy transformation creates opportunity for jobs and business that will shape the societies and the whole educational system. What are the new business opportunities that arise from the energy transformation? What kind of education is required for the young people to fit in and fully engage in the new opportunities?
