Details
The event aims to present the consequences of climate change in Macedonia and other countries, to understand the role of small countries and young people in mitigation of climate change and to create solutions and recommendations for relevant stakeholders.
The celebration of World Environment Day (WED) began in 1972 and has grown to become one of the main vehicles through which the United Nations encourages positive action for the environment. WED is a big celebration, engaging millions across the globe through events on the ground in over 100 countries. World Environment Day this year aims to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on small islands states around the world. There's also much to be learned from these countries, which have overcome a number of environmental problems with only limited resources.
