With the conference “Human Rights and Minority Rights in Europe”, the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung wants to contribute to an exchange of ideas and experiences in Human Rights protection and prevention, as well as to present best practice models on how national minorities can contribute to the democratic transformation of the Balkan countries and their societies. The focus of the conference will be on the status and work of the national human rights ombudsmen of Macedonia and its neighbouring countries in relation to the state authorities and to civil society.
